Flisvos Marina Christmas Festivities 2016

Like every year around this month the Flisvos Marina organizes Christmas festivities for the little ones and old alike. This year the program begins on Sunday, December 11 and will last until Saturday, January 7th.

The events are going to be called “Flisvos Express” – keep reading to learn more about what’s going down!

Sunday 11/12 – OPENING CEREMONY (15:00-20:00)

Presentation Opening Ceremony: Ulysses Papaspiliopoulos.

  • 15:00 – 17:30 Face painting, stilt walkers, balloons and other surprises for the little ones.
  • 17:30 – 17:45 The arrival of Santa Claus at the marina with the magical undersea train!
  • 17:45 Flisvos Marina welcomes the world, lights on the Christmas tree and fireworks.
  • 17:55 – 19:15 The youthful funky groovy band “Ex-Girlfriend’s Perfume” drags everyone into a party with Christmas carols and dancing.
  • 17:55 – 20:00 Children meet Santa Claus with photo opportunities.
  • 10:00 to 22:00 Christmas Bazaar by the Association “ALMA” (ALMA is an association that helps children and young people with disabilities)

Saturday 17/12

  • 11:00 – 12:00 The Land of Fantasy (face painting) – The children transform into creatures with Christmas Face Painting.
  • 11:00 – 12:00 The place of creation (construction)
  • 11:00 – 12:00 The land of Wishes (letter to Santa Claus)
  • 12:00 – 13:00 “Flisvos and the Magic Undersea Train” (fairytale narration)
  • 13:00 – 15:00 The land of Wishes (letter to Santa Claus)
  • 13:00 – 14:00 The Land of Fantasy (face painting)
  • 14:00 – 15:00 The Land of Taste (confectionery)
  • 15:00 – 16:00 “The sheet did not want to fall” (theatrical)
    • This story highlights the wisdom of nature and the power of love to melt the frost of winter!

Sunday 18/12

  • 11:00 – 14:00 The land of Wishes (letter to Santa Claus)
  • 11:00 – 13:00 The Land of Fantasy (face painting)
  • 12:00 – 13:00 The place of creation (construction)
  • 13:00 – 14:00 The Land of Taste (confectionery)
  • 14:00 – 15:00 “Flisvos and the Magic Undersea Train” (fairytale narration)
  • 15:00 – 16:00 “Christmas Karagiozis” (shadow theater)
    • Karagiozis the Hadziavatis, Uncle – George and all the beloved characters of shadow theater in a festive adventure!

Weekend 17-18 / 12

  • 10:00 – 21:00 Christmas Bazaar of the “Χαμόγελο του παιδιού”
    • “Χαμόγελο του παιδιού” awaits you at the Christmas bazaar! Anything you buy will go towards contributing efforts to help children and families in serious need!

Saturday 24/12

  • 11:00 – 12:00 The land of Wishes (letter to Santa Claus)
  • 11:00 – 12:00 The Land of Fantasy (face painting)
  • 11:00 – 12:00 The place of creation (construction)
  • 12:00 – 13:00 The Land of Music “Something runs the Opera” (children’s opera)
  • 13:00 – 14:00 The land of Wishes (letter to Santa Claus)
  • 13:00 – 14:00 The Land of Fantasy (face painting)
  • 13:00 – 14:00 The place of creation (construction)
  • 14:00 – 15:00 “Flisvos and the Magic Undersea Train” (fairytale narration)
  •  15:00 – 16:00 The Land of Music “Songs of the World” (music workshop)
    • Artistic-musical workshop with carols from different countries and cities.
